I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Massachusetts.  In addition to Illuminated Education, I currently have a private practice in which I provide both psychotherapy and psychological assessment services.  In addition, I am Clinical Director of Psychological Assessment Services at The Institute for Girls’ Development in Pasadena, CA.

My undergraduate work includes a BA degree in Art History and a MA degree in Biological Sciences from Wellesley College.  I spent nine years teaching and learning as an Instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Wellesley. In 1987 I completed a BS degree in Psychology at  Boston University, and in 1989, moved across the country to begin a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Southern California. In the course of my studies at USC I completed a year-long clerkship in the Psychological Assessment Clinic at the LAC + USC Psychiatric Hospital, and I interned at the LA County+ USC Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic. My post-doctoral training included a 4-year appointment with the Department of Family Medicine at USC .
.
My interests focus on the intersections where ideas come together and enrich each other, such as the intersection of biological and depth psychological approaches to human problems.  I have been a student of the mind-body connection in psychology and medicine for over 30 years, and am currently engaged in studies of ancient and traditional methods of healing.
